In our guide, we show you the most important steps and tips to become a suc Facebook Linkedin Twitter. But if I were to choose a free hosting blog, I would go for Blogger.

I agree blogger is a great choice if you need a free blog. WordPress free hosted service costs you a lot more money than then hosting your own wordpress blog. I love you for this article and in my opinion anyway, how can we take care of the website that we manage it that much good, if wordpres or blogger so the same if we are not able to take care of and maintain as possible, the same bullshit ya not boss??? Thanks for sharing the post and i think blogger is more powerful and can be a great way of creating a blog but i would have prefer wordpress than both of them because of their powerful and great plug-in.

I switched from self-hosted wordpress to blogger about 3 years ago, because wordpress kept breaking on me. When I try to fix it it kept giving me the same errors. Blogger is more perfect to use than Tumblr because it is easy to use and can also serve as a traffic boost. Tumblr is better, but you can get banned more easily. Tumblr more traffic, blogspot more authority. I am using blogger platform for 5 years for free hosting. But little bit worry about it as big name blogger are shifting to self-hosted wordpress platform.

Whether you want to make it look like you main blog, or something completely different is up to you! Tweaking my tumblr theme is how I started learning code! Since you made it to the end, you may as well follow me on Instagram — but their algorithm is a bit of a mystery, so you can sign up to the newsletter to not miss out on the best posts!

Still, there are some great free and premium plugins that will help you manage the social part of your site. On the other hand, Tumblr has your back. From the very moment of creating the account, Tumblr will try to connect you with other bloggers on the network.

It will show you related content so that you quickly get to the blogs of your interest. Similarly, your blog will show up to other people and instantly connect you to them. So, without any extra work from your side, you can get the first page view in a matter of seconds. If you wanted to do the same with WordPress, it would take hours of advertising your site until you get it to the right audience.

In the end, the truth is that both WordPress and Tumblr are great blogging platforms. It just depends on what kind of blog are you going for, and what are your plans for the future of your site. If all you want is a platform where you get to express yourself through text and multimedia, you will love Tumblr.

It is simple, easy to understand, and completely free. And you will still get to customize it to a certain point, without having any technical knowledge. But on the other hand, WordPress offers much, much more. With the self-hosted version, you can create much more than a simple blog.

Although a bit harder to understand than Tumblr, WordPress is, as well, beginner-friendly. You will be able to expand your blog into anything you want — from a simple site to an entire eCommerce website if you want. And thousands of themes and plugins will help you achieve what you have in mind. Still, you can always customize the site to detail because WordPress allows complete modifications. Can you monetize your blog on Tumblr by getting the custom domain name option?

I currently have a free blog there. I want to blog full time as a means of income. I do like the Tumblr platform. I hate to switch now. Hi Helena!
