So that should be sufficient for leveling, Im sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the reply? Side note from your DPS - make sure you have another legendary ready to go for leveling since you'll be getting the artifact neck before you hit the new zones!
Prydaz had a nice run, but its usefulness is almost over. As another side note are those your fave talents? As they are definitely not the highest simming for me though I am higher item level than you. Eradication may be better for you as well. Didn't look that in depth at your log but main thing is to give IC more priority.
Depends on distance but if Immolate was close to pandemic when you started your CB you can immediately follow with the DoT and it should hit before the CB will. Thank you for the input but my concern was the difference between my dps on a dummy and the simmed dps. For that matter the choice of talents should be irrelevant as long as theyre the same for both sim and actual dps. Youre probably right about the choice of talents but i chose em because they made the rotation easier.
I'm going to come clean i'm not as old as most players on this game since I started playing during Legion but I can maintain high dps with destruction warlock by doing the following.
You can beat most rare elites and bosses that have adds this way but I don't think it's optimal compared to other rotations. It works for me though. I hope i helped. Make sure you Conflagerate before you cast Chaos Bolt in order to reduce cast time of your Chaos Bolt. Cast priorities are a good start, but they are not often optimal. Always keep at least 1 Conflagerate on cooldown. You will lose almost all of your secondary stats on your way to and it will feel like a completely different character once you reach level cap.
Quick Facts. Table of Contents. Guide Navigation. Occasionally useful to stay alive, however preferably you would be using Shadow Bolt or Incinerate. Used to obtain Soul Shard s. It should only be used when a target is about to die. Useful to proc damage taking or dealing talents or items such as Nether Protection before an encounter.
The AoE is relatively weak compared to Seed of Corruption. However, in PvP this ability is really useful to get rogues and druids out of stealth. Negates the resistance for most bosses and increases raid-wide DPS. Affliction Warlocks bring Malediction to the table making it even better. Should always be on target.
Equivalent of Curse of the Elements to benefit the melee. Also useful to break Fear and therefore have more control over the crowd control spell. The highest DPS curse if it can run its full duration of 1 min. If the fight is shorter or the remaining time is less than 1 minute, you can opt to use Curse of Agony. Should be used when Curse of Doom is on cooldown or if the target will stay alive less than 1 min.
Only useful on certain encounters to the slow casting time of the targets. Not used very often but when needed, is really beneficial. Shares a debuff slot with Demoralizing Shout ; usually Warriors will be providing this debuff. Affliction and Demonology Warlocks will want to keep Corruption up at all times. Destruction Warlocks usually will not be using Corruption as they cannot reach the talents to reduce its cast time, making it less of a DPS buff.
If you have a mage providing Improved Scorch you will always want to Immolate. Otherwise use only as Destruction if talented for it.
Affliction spell - you will want to keep this up at all times. Once you have more crit on your gear, this gets swapped for Ruin. The spell is essentially a mana negative spell as it will return more mana in the form of health with Life Tap than it costs. So how do you use Implosion then? Like how do you know when the most optimal time to Implode is…? When I have my Demonic Tyrant out, i dont Implode until the last possible second to get the most out of his buff on my imps… but on trash packs and the like how should I be running Implosion?
Also yes, i have a WA that tracks my time on all my demons as well as my Tyrants Demonic Consumption bonus per my imps. So in AoE or cleave scenario. Based on the third bullet, you almost always want to use Implosion on more than one target. You might want to implode every imps generated.
Sometimes I implode after using HoG to make 3 more imps while 6 imps are available to consistently use Implosion. And while your Tyrant does not necessarily increase the damage of your implosion per se, but you can hoard your imps with him. So given the first and third bullet, you can either: use Implosion on ST to snapshot your damage with all the proc related buffs that you got or wait it out until your imps expire.
You can also keep your imps when your mobs die when your Tyrant is active. ST usage of Implosion takes a bit of nuance to explain but as for AoE, you almost always want to use Implosion for every single imp that you summon.
